Memory Loss

It is surreal, how memories begin to fade over time. They become worn, and harder to access as the months pass. Details begin to disappear, and you’re left with a hole ridden story of something that was once meaningful.

Confession: I fear that I will lose the vibrancy of the moments that made me taste a hint of infinity.

Easter service at my church, Christian Church of Jasper was a beautiful taste of what Heaven could be like. One voice singing together, the glorious praises of our King. We gathered in a rented gymnasium, as one body to hear the gospel message falling freshly on ears that had already heard it, and on ones that never had.

Will that memory fade? Unfortunately.

I’m just thankful for those times when you lose the memories that meant the most to clear out for things even more unfathomable.
